Ukyou: …And like that, it’s still here.
MC: —That’s right. I read in a book that, because this house’s structure is special, it was appointed as an important property of culture, and was thus spared from being destroyed.
I went to an ijinkan* because I wanted to see this building.
And then… I met him at this place.
Ukyou: …For some reason, I feel like I can reunite with my grandfather once more here.
I’m… very happy right now.
And so.
You’re the first person to notice me crying.
I wonder if you can pretend like you don’t notice?
MC: That’s because… Nobody wants to be in a place where they can be seen crying.
Ukyou: Thank you for taking notice.
…My name is Ukyou. And you?
MC: …Me? I… I’m…
* note: from jisho.org - いじんかん - “western style residences built mostly for early foreign settlers during the end of the Shogunate and the Meiji era”
So that’s what ijikan is… wait, “foreign settlers”…
Does that mean Ukyo’s at least part foreign since that’s his grandfather’s house? O.O Not pure japanese? Uehh, how… exotic? I always assumed he was pure japanese, but… in that case which country is his grandfather from?
[If this was sci fi I’d speculate that he’s literally a denpa otoko / part alien or what and his split personalities were not just from a result of his world hopping but also as a result of his genetics fighting each other XD;;; kinda like Spock. It’s so tempting].
